Brian Thomas

Starting Position: Landscape Designer
Current Position: Landscape Designer

Brian grew up in Milwaukee learning gardening and discovering the love for the outdoors from his grandfather. This experience developed into a career in horticulture. Brian holds a degree in Landscape Horticulture and is a certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture. He also is a member of the Wisconsin Arborist Association. Brian completed the Master Gardner training with the UW Extension and has volunteered to lead programs at Boerner Botanical Gardens and other venues. He has also assisted with designing community gardens in Milwaukee.

Brian likes the challenge of taking clients ideas and implementing them in their landscape. His desire for more diverse landscapes motivates him to seek out underused plants from dwarf conifers to Wisconsin Native plants and outstanding trees that provide beauty in all seasons and for decade to come.

Personal Brief
Brian met his wife Rebecca while in college and working at the same garden center. Together they traveled America exploring our great National Parks and Forests. They both share a passion and respect for protecting our planet. In his off time, Brian enjoys gardening with the family, making syrup, canning vegetables, and cooking. As a dad, he really loves traveling the Midwest watching his teenage daughters play fast pitch softball.
